玉熊

熊是漢代文物常見題材之一。它既見于器座、席鎮上，也見于博山爐的山林之間，可見漢時的人們熟知山林中熊的生活。據說，熊在漢代有力士的象征，它不僅是人們狩獵、豢養、搏斗的對象，也是人們崇拜、祭祀的偶像。

玉熊館的玉熊器件約百余件，大多形象真實生動，惟妙惟肖，不同時期的玉熊有著細微的差別由此可以看出玉器發展的水平，既有傳統經典的古風，又有向新的自然寫實風格發展。

白玉，玉質細膩溫潤，玉色光亮，有少量紅璞。漢代玉熊形體肥壯，圓頭、圓眼、長吻、粗頸，雙耳后抿，四肢短粗有力，足部有陰線紋肉墊，短尾藏于毛發之中，呈蹣跚行走狀，憨態可掬，造型生動逼真，手法寫實，以簡練的技法在熊體上雕琢極少的陰線和少許毛發，以少勝多，通體似無毛而勝有毛，保持了玉質本身的色澤之美。
